We invite you to discover the Camino de Santiago in a different way. You will have the possibility to combine the Camino by walking or visiting places, depending on how you feel. We will travel in small groups of maximum 18 participants, with an official guide along the route and a Mercedes minibus at our disposal. Everything will be organized for you; accommodation in 3 star hotels with breakfast, your luggage will already be transported to the next hotel, and you will just have to worry about walking and enjoying. If one day you don’t feel comfortable walking, you can take the bus with our driver and enjoy your free time in the north of Spain to discover the wonderful area we will visit. We will do the Camino Portugués starting from the border with Portugal and we will have 6 days of walking. We present you the program below so that you can see what is waiting for you:
Program
DAY 1 – August 29 Departure and visit to Plasencia (night in Plasencia)
We will pick up all the travelers and start driving to the north. In order not to make the long trip, we
will spend the night in Plasencia. Plasencia is a city with a beautiful old town, which we will visit in
the afternoon with our official guide.
DAY 2 – August 30 VISIT TO PUEBLA DE SANABRIA, RIVADAVIA AND NIGHT-STAY IN TUY
We continue our trip visiting Puebla de Sanabria, one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Spain. You will be amazed by its stone houses and its beautiful views. We will then make a stop in Galicia at Rivadavia, where we will take a walk through the old town. In the evening we will arrive at our hotel in Tuy to rest.
DAY 3 – August 31 – STAGE 1 FROM TUY TO PORRIÑO (18.3 KM)
We start the Camino with this stage from Tuy to Porriño, the bus will drop us off in Tuy, we will visit its cathedral and collect our pilgrim’s papers and from there we will go to Porriño. When we arrive in Porriño, we will have time for lunch and then the bus will take us back to the hotel.
DAY 4 – SEPTEMBER 1 – STAGE 2 – FROM PORRIÑO TO REDONDELA (15,6 KM)
The bus will take us to the starting point of the town hall of Porriño and from there we will leave for Redondela. When we arrive in Redondela, we will have time for lunch and the bus will take us back to our hotel.
DAY 5 – SEPTEMBER 2 – STAGE 3 – FROM REDONDELA TO PONTEVEDRA (18,2 KM)
The bus will take us to the starting point at the town hall of Redondela and from there we will start walking to Pontevedra. When we arrive in Pontevedra, we will have free time to visit the church of the Virgin Peregrina and its wonderful old town.
DAY 6 – SEPTEMBER 3 – STAGE 4 – FROM PONTEVEDRA TO CALDAS DE REIS (23 KM)
Departure from Pontevedra to Caldas de Reis, we will enjoy beautiful landscapes on the way and we will stop to eat at the waterfalls of the Rio Barosa, an ideal place to relax and rest a little before ending our stage in Caldas de Reis. In Caldas de Reis, the bus will pick us up and take us to our hotel.
DAY 7 – SEPTEMBER 4 – STAGE 5 – FROM CALDAS DE REIS TO PADRON (18,7 KM)
The bus will take us to Caldas de Reis and from there we will start our stage. Arriving in Padrón, we will stop for lunch and taste its famous peppers, we will pass by Iria Flavia and we will arrive at our hotel, which is located a little further than the town of Padrón.
DAY 8 – SEPTEMBER 5 – STAGE 6 – FROM PADRÓN TO SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA (25,2 KM)
We will leave early on foot from our hotel to arrive in Santiago de Compostela at the right time and enjoy this wonderful city. Without a doubt, one of the most exciting moments will be to arrive at the Plaza del Obradoiro after such a great effort. It will be a day to enjoy, visit Santiago de Compostela and taste its exquisite gastronomy.
DAY 9 – SEPTEMBER 6 – DEPARTURE FROM SANTIAGO AND NIGHT-STAY IN CACERES
Departing Santiago to the south, we will stop in Caceres and visit the historic center at sunset, which is a World Heritage Site. An incredible visit to this historic city in Extremadura to end our trip.
DAY 10 – SEPTEMBER 7 – RETURN TO MALAGA
Departure from Cáceres and arrival in Málaga around 18:00.
