Description and itinerary
Cordoba is the Spanish city with the most World Heritage designations.
Come with us and discover one of the most important, beautiful, and charming cities in Andalusia. Few places in the world can boast of having been the capital of a Roman province and an Islamic Caliphate.
Our day trip starts around 8.00 am, we will pick you up from your accommodation and we will drive through the heart of Andalusia while our guide explains the historical context of this city that became the center of the world.
Once we arrive to Cordoba we will visit the Mosque-Cathedral, declared a World Heritage Site. It was built in 785 by a Muslim emir on the ruins of a church and it’s considered one of the most beautiful examples of Islamic art in Spain.
After that, we will enjoy a guided tour through La Judería, the old Jewish quarter where we will find the Synagogue, one of the best preserved in Andalusia, and we will discover San Basilio quarter, where we will go into some of its known Patios (inner gardens).
Around 14.00 we will have some free time to get lost in the typical Andalusian streets with whitewashed facades and flowery balconies and of course visit some bars that our guide will recommend, so you can taste the amazing local gastronomy.
Then, we will return to your accommodation after a wonderful day knowing the history of Al-Andalus.
