Description and itinerary
Spain is the biggest oil producer worldwide and Andalusia is the region where you can find more olive trees. If you like olive oil and want to know a bit more about it, you came to the right place.
Our tour will start by visiting a olive grove with century-old trees, where we will tell you all about the olive culture, the process of picking olives, and you can even help in this hard but pleasant task! This way you will value even more the hard work of the Andalusian farmers and we’re sure you’ll enjoy tasting our golden liquid even more.
Afterwards, we will visit the Periana olive oil cooperative, the most important in the entire Axarquía region. Here, we will discover how olive oil is produced from start to finish and learn to differentiate between its varieties after enjoying a tasting of its finest olive oils, which you can purchase later in the shop.
After this we head to Alfarnatejo, a small village in Malaga, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch in a traditional local restaurant, surrounded by a stunning landscape with olive trees and high mountains.
Finally, to digest the meal, we will enjoy a small walk in the village before we go back home.
