Description and itinerary

The day begins with a visit to the Sugar Cane Museum, where you will delve into the fascinating history of this crop that has marked the life of the region. You’ll discover how sugar cane has influenced the economy and development of the Costa Tropical, through interactive exhibits and a rich collection of historical artefacts. A perfect way to start the day, learning about the heritage that shaped this beautiful corner of Andalusia.
Next, you will visit one of only two rum factories in the whole of Europe, a hidden gem on the coast, where the artisanal rum process has been kept alive for generations. Here you will discover the traditional distillation process and, best of all, enjoy an exclusive tasting of its most select varieties. A sensory journey that will allow you to appreciate all the nuances of this unique drink, made with local ingredients and the character of the Costa Tropical.
Afterwards, you’ll head for the Paraje Natural Maro-Cerro Gordo scenic road, one of the most spectacular drives in the region. As you travel along this route, you’ll marvel at the uninterrupted views of the coastline, its cliffs, hidden coves and turquoise blue sea stretching as far as the eye can see.
