Description and itinerary
Did you know that the Axarquía is Europe’s largest subtropical fruit production area?
We have designed an original and amazing experience to make you an expert in this subject.
We will drive along the coastline, it’s time for you to relax contemplating the stunning views. Around 10.30 am we will be at our destination, a beautiful avocados and mangoes plantation in front of the Mediterranean sea.
During two hours we will find out everything about sub-tropical fruits in our area, from the planting process until the products reach your table, without forgetting the distribution process around all Europe.
After that, we couldn’t leave the plantation without tasting some of the delicious fruits so we will end our experience having a delicious healthy picnic made by tasty juicy mangos, creamy avocados and more local products while we enjoy the exotic landscape and the sea views over The Mediterranean.
Please note that the food of the picnic will depend on the season of the fruits. The mango season is between September and the end of November and the Avocado season is from November until April.
After the visit to the farm we head to TROPS. TROPS is the largest mango and avocado cooperative in Europe. We will visit their facilities and shop where you will find a wide selection of regional gourmet products and of course avocados and mangos.
After the visit to the shop we will take you back to your accommodation.
