Description and itinerary
Join us for this fantastic truly authentic culinary experience and learn how to cook properly two of the main traditional dishes in Andalusia.
Our teacher will be a Spanish Grandma and our guide will translate the whole process for you.
We will pick you up at your accommodation around 10.00 am and we will head to Vélez-Málaga.
Our first stop is at the local food market to buy the products we will need for our cooking. Our guide will give us some tips to get the best local and fresh products and we will enjoy walking around the market learning about the culture of the area and getting involved with the local people.
Once we have all the ingredients we need, our guide will drive us to a charming andalusian cottage where our Grandma will be waiting for us.
We will learn how to cook Salmorejo, a traditional cold soup made with fresh tomatoes and local olive oil, while the Salmorejo is chilling we will start to peel the potatoes to make a traditional and tasty tortilla de patatas as the second dish. You will learn cooking secrets that you can’t find in cookbooks!
We will cook while enjoying amazing views of the mountains of Malaga, and once everything has been prepared we will sit together to eat in a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
